  Excellent accommodation and very clean. Staff were very accommodating. This was a little get away vacation with my daughter. It was our first visit to New York and we felt very safe in the Belleclaire as well as its surroundings. Rooms could use a sampling of menus for those who might like to order in one evening - example where to get a good New York Pizza.
  A good mid-range choice for those who want to stay in New York without incurring the very high prices associated with some Manhatton hotels. The accommodation is comparatively basic, but has everything that you need. Initially I wasn't sure about sharing a bathroom, but it was not a problem at all - one bathroom for 3 rooms, so there was never any queue. The hotel was clean and well looked after, and the staff were always very helpful. The location is north west of mid-town, but with the subway just a short walk away travelling to all of the major sites never took too long. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant the diner across the road more than made up for it. I would recommend to those wanting to do NYC on a sensible budget.
  I had a deluxe room (private bath). Great location, large room, can't beat the price at this location. (Other hotels I've stayed at nearby had smaller rooms for more money) Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you want plain but comfortable accommodations.
